Beach High SAT 1000 Club member James Brian Jones was born February 7,
1986. He
is the son of Nancy & Randy Jones of Savannah, GA,
grandson of Mrs. Ollie B. Wilson of Savannah, GA & Mr. Harry Wilson,
Jr. of Uvalda, GA and The late Mr. & Mrs. Willie J. Jones of Sylvania, GA
Through his school career James attended:
- White Bluff Elementary
- DeRenne Middle School
- West Chatham Middle School
- A.E. Beach High School (Magnet
Program)
- Groves High School (IB Magnet
Program)
- Gainesville High School
(Gainesville, GA) -
James Mastered the Georgia High
School Graduation Test on his first attempt in
all areas tested. He recently earned
his Diploma from A.E.Beach High School on June
3, 2004 with dual seals in College Prep
and Tech. Prep. James took his SAT in
October and achieved a score of over 1000 which
earned him honor of being in the elite Beach
High 1000 club while also earning a score
of 24 on the ACT.

James scored exceptionally
well on his military ASVAB and qualified for a
position as an Air Traffic Controller. He
plans to enter basic military training in the
Airforce on June 27, 2004 at Lackland Air Force
Base in Texas. After basic training, his
school for Air Traffic Control will be in
Mississippi. James intends to further his
education while in the Air Force by enrolling in
classes for additional computer
training.
During this time of war,
uncertainty and lost youth it's good to see a
young man that not only avoids the pitfalls of
peer pressure but also elects to defend his
country.
